As one commision- the Magnus dining table, Enignum sculpture and Enginum Locus chair, replicate a tree’s canopy. A singular loop of ash splitting into three separate curves. While the Enignum sculpture overarch, Both table and sculpture balance on a single point, skilfully manipulating the strength and durability of ash.
The Magnus dining table, Enignum sculpture, Enignum locus chair displayed are recent limited- edition commissions. The last in a trio of exclusive pieces, the final Magnus dining table and Enignum Locus chairs are available to commission for 2022.
Joseph Walsh Studio and workshop were founded by Joseph Walsh at age twenty and is where the studio remains, a nexus for craft, design, and material knowledge at a geographical periphery.
Walsh created significant early commissions for various ecclesiastical clients, the Embassy of Japan and the National Museum of Ireland. His acquisitions by international collections, most recently, Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and Chatsworth House, have cemented his position as an international ‘master maker’.
His achievements in design have been recognised by an honorary doctorate from University College Cork, a major commission for the National Gallery of Ireland.
