ÉIRÍ
From the Magnus series, Éirí is a monumental sculpture in oak, bronze and gold leaf, conceived for the grounds of Adare Manor.
ÉIRÍ, meaning rising in Irish, refers to the movement of the nearby River Maigue and the ascending and descending shape of the sculpture.
It echoes the relationship between humanity and nature, as seen in the landscape around the sculpture in Adare – the river meandering through the land, with man-made castles and monasteries scattered along its banks, charting their intertwined histories over the centuries.
