Commissioned to display a collection of Chinese ceramics, these three cabinets are each one of a kind. The doors are crafted from burr ash, the oldest and most richly figured part of the tree, subtly carved to follow the natural grain. The hinges were first sculpted directly into the cabinet bodies and doors before being cast in bronze, creating a seamless integration between wood and metal.
